A lifelong fascination with wellness and healing has guided my ongoing study of hands-on healing modalities. As a kinesthetic, experiential learner and instinctive nurturer, I've always known I would work as a massage therapist.
After completing a BA designed to prepare me for further studies in Naturopathic Midwifery, an abrupt pivot into aerial acrobatics and circus performance, and some adventures as a circus performer, I completed the 1200-hour massage program at the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle in 2007. In 2012, I traveled to Belize to study the Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy with Rosita Arvigo. Soon after, I completed an advanced training in supporting fertility through post-partum in this Mayan tradition, and in 2013 I became a certified Arvigo® practitioner. Additional continuing education studies have included myofascial balancing, visceral massage, injury treatment, intraoral treatment (certified and endorsed in WA state), and McLaughlin scar tissue release. I am currently pursuing Craniosacral certification and looking forward to offering craniosacral sessions sometime in 2024.
I am NCBTMB certified and a Licensed Massage Practitioner in the state of Washington (#MA 00025166).
With attuned focus and an intuitive touch, I assist with clearing blocks and restrictions to support greater freedom and flow through the body. Sessions may include an integrated blend of techniques to support your current needs and concerns, from focused treatment work to pure blissful relaxation massage. I specialize in supporting reproductive health through all phases of life, with a focus around pregnancy and birth (including birth doula services). I offer specialized sessions for reproductive and digestive health and am able to provide a safe and gentle space and pacing for clients who have experienced past trauma. Whether you arrive with a specific goal or you simply want support to relax and de-stress, I am ready to be of service to you.
I offer a variety of treatments, in sessions ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Focused 30-minute Scar Tissue Release sessions can offer freedom from the restrictions caused by scarring from injuries, surgeries, and burns. Both menstrual cramps and migraines may be effectively treated in a 30-minute Bindegewebsmassage sessions, and one to two hour Maya Abdominal Therapy sessions can help address the cause of a wide range of reproductive health concerns in both men and women. Intraoral treatment can address TMJ dysfunction and jaw tension, reducing jaw pain and relieving tension headaches.
When I am not working with clients, I love dancing, singing, tending plants, and paddling around our gorgeous PNW waters. After a decade of working as a circus artist, I continue to stay involved in the circus community of Bellingham through the nonprofit I co-founded (the Bellingham Circus Guild) and my annual show every February, “My Circus Valentine.”
My clients are dear to me. It is a pleasure and honor to support your growth and healing.
With Rosita Arvigo, 2013
